Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington & Rose Leslie are engaged

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are engaged

A source confirmed the happy news to PEOPLE magazine.
The pair first caught the attention of viewers, while stirring up relationship rumours in 2012 at the same time as their fictional Game of Thrones characters, Jon Snow and Ygritte.

Although reports revealed that the pair split a year into their relationship, they later got back together and picked up from where they left off, fueling romance speculation until they officially confirmed their relationship in April of 2016.
They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Olivier Awards in London.
One month after their relationship was made public, 30-yr-old Harington, opened up about the early days of their romance, which we now know began on set while shooting in Iceland for season 2.

He admitted that those weeks were his favourite in the serie.
“Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” he said in a cover story for L’Uomo Vogue. “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”

A Texas couple marry amist the hurricane storm in Houston

A Texas couple is getting a lot of love from the Internet after a picture from
their hurricane-defying wedding was shared by the photography company who
covered their wedding. The newlyweds Chris and Shelly were forced to change their wedding venue after the church was submerged i flood. They lost everything to the storm including their wedding cake, but they were not discouraged.
Photographers, Jim and Andi Davis who took the picture of Chris lifting Shelly in a flooded street, had this to say about the wedding:
We got to cover this day of the newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Holland. They have had to change venues, decorations, just about everything you can imagine, all in a days notice. They were a great reminder today of who cares what life throws at us, the important thing is to love one another, and these two did exactly that.
Braving the floods in the Houston and greater Houston area, these two were determined NOT to let ANYTHING keep them from being married TODAY!!!
True love conquers all!

The royal couple Kate and William are expecting baby number 3

Prince William and his wife Kate are expecting their third child, Kensington Palace announced on Monday, adding that she would not be attending a planned engagement due to a severe form of morning sickness.

The news comes on the week that the royal couple’s eldest child, four-year-old Prince George, begins school in London. They also have a daughter, two-year-old Princess Charlotte.

“Their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child,” the palace said in a statement.

William is second in line to the throne and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, along with members of both families, was said to be “delighted” at the news.

The palace confirmed that “as with her previous two pregnancies, the Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum”, a severe form of morning sickness.

“Her royal highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace,” it said.

Beyonce and other celebrities congratulate Serena Williams on the birth of her daughter

Tennis superstar Serena Williams gave birth to a baby girl on Friday, US media reported, prompting an outpouring of delight from fellow professionals, celebrities and fans of the sporting icon.

Williams, who will turn 36 later this month, was admitted to the St Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday before going into labor overnight.

There was no immediate confirmation of the birth from Williams’ representatives.

Elder sister Venus Williams described herself as “super excited” after being informed of the reports concerning the baby as she walked on to the court for her third-round match at the US Open in New York.

However she declined to take questions on the subject in her post-match press conference.

“I’m definitely available to answer questions about tennis. That’s all right now,” Venus told reporters.

Earlier, a producer with the Florida-based WPBF television station cited hospital sources as saying Williams’ daughter weighed in at six pounds and 13 ounces (3.09 kilograms). Celebrity magazine US Weekly cited an unnamed source close to the tennis star confirming the birth.

Williams, who is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, was swiftly greeted with an avalanche of congratulations from well-wishers.

“Congrats Serena!!! So much joy for you!!!” Spanish star Rafa Nadal wrote on Twitter.

Pop diva Beyonce took to Instagram to send her message, posting a portrait of a pregnant Williams in a flowing white gown with the message: “Congratulations Serena!”

Williams’ coach Patrick Mouratoglou added on Twitter: “Congratulations @SerenaWilliams for your baby girl. I am so happy for you and I feel your emotion. Recover well & enjoy without limitation.”

US tennis legend Chris Evert meanwhile chimed: “I’m so thrilled for her. And what a role model she’s going to be for her daughter.”

Media reports said 23-time Grand Slam singles champion Serena — who revealed she was pregnant in April — was induced overnight Thursday.

Other fans meanwhile wasted no time in anointing the tennis star’s daughter as a future champion.

“Hello to the future queen of tennis,” one post on Twitter read. “A future champion is born,” added another.

Those sentiments sparked light-hearted alarm for Spanish star Garbine Muguruza. Told that Williams’ baby is a girl, Muguruza replied: “Well, I hope she doesn’t play tennis.”

– ‘Outrageous’ goal –
Williams has vowed to return to competitive tennis in January to defend her Australian Open title, which she won while newly pregnant.

Williams last month told Vogue in a wide-ranging interview that she had set herself a goal of returning to play in Melbourne at next year’s Open.

“It’s the most outrageous plan,” she said. “I just want to put that out there. That’s, like, three months after I give birth. I’m not walking anything back, but I’m just saying it’s pretty intense.”

Williams’ coach Mouratoglou meanwhile joked Friday that he expected to hold the tennis star to her word.

“Btw @serenawilliams I wish you a speedy recovery… we have a lot of work ahead of us,” Mouratoglou wrote in a Twitter post.

Williams also revealed in her Vogue interview she had long suspected she would give birth to a girl.

“Two weeks after we found out (about the pregnancy), I played the Australian Open. I told Alexis it has to be a girl because there I was playing in 100-degree weather, and that baby never gave me any trouble. Ride or die. Women are tough that way,” Williams told the magazine.

Serena Williams post a video of her pregnancy workout sessions

In a new series of Snapchats, Serena shows off some of her workouts—and they’re probably more intense that what most people do without a baby in their belly. In one video, Serena can be seen repeatedly bouncing a heavymedicine ball onto the ground. In another, she does something she dubbed “the turtle,” which involves pushing a sled across a gym floor.

Despite what people used to think, working out during pregnancy is now generally considered safe, and even good for you, as long as you have no complications.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) issued guidelines in 2016 that state that exercising during pregnancy is encouraged. They also list out several forms of exercise like walking, swimming, stationary biking, and modified versions of yoga and pilates as good options. ACOG also says that, if you were a runner before you got pregnant, you’re fine to keep on running. That seems to be the advice for pretty much everything—you can keep up your pre-pregnancy routine, as long as there's no complications. The only things ACOG advise against are contact sports and activities with a high risk of falling.
“Whether or not we're talking about Olympic or elite athletes or the average pregnant woman, all women should avoid any exercise that has an increased risk of falling or abdominal injury,” says women’s health expert Jennifer Wider, M.D. “And everyone should check in with a health professional.”

Married for 34 yrs Betty Irabor gives tips to a successful marriage

If anyone is in the perfect position to give valuable advice on what a successful marriage is, Betty Irabor definitely would be one of them.

Coming off celebrating the 34th anniversary of her wedding to Soni Irabor on Saturday, July 29, the Genevieve Magazine founder and publisher shared words young couples should take to heart.
‘What Soni and I have has taken all of 34 years to build.. So don’t for one minute think it happened overnight,’ she began.
‘We have walked on that street called hope but having each other makes it bearable. A successful marriage doesn’t happen over night it requires sacrifice and it takes effort and nurturing.’
That was not all, though, as she went on to tell young couples to be patient in their marriage and not be eager to ‘impress their audience.’
‘You want a good marriage? Work at it! Young couples seem to just want everything NOW NOW because they have to prove a point and impress their audience and in the process put a lot of pressure on their marriage.
‘A [good] Marriage takes two, it thrives on love in action not in mere words. Marriage requires commitment, empathy , TRUST (leave each other’s phones ALONE) don’t marry anyone you cannot trust!
‘Don’t overburden each other with over expectations and believe me the grass is not greener on the other side; avoid comparing your marriage/partner to others that seem rosier; water your own garden! In life everything is turn by turn.
‘Ojukokoro [Greed] is a vice that destroys relationships! If you both can’t afford it then you don’t need it.
‘Let [your] marriage grow organically. Do everything in love..don’t overburden each other with unrealistic demands.
‘Marriage won’t necessarily fix a bad relationship especially if your partner has habits that he/she won’t let go. Fix those issues before you say I DO!’
The Irabors have been married for 34 years
She touched on domestic violence as well, stating that marriage won’t fix a partner who’s been abusive before your wedding day.
‘If he or she is violent and slaps you around now, marriage won’t fix that, if he is insecure because you are a boss woman, that insecurity may linger and lead to resentment with time.
‘Be careful who you marry..don’t set yourself up because ‘all your friends are getting married..’ That’s a trap!
‘Don’t over try to change your partner into who they are not; marriage isn’t about changing your partners essence rather it is about finding the good in each other.
‘Celebrate each bite size milestone. A successful marriage starts from the foundation .. If the foundation is not built on CHRIST how can it withstand the storms?’
She ended her piece of advice with this:
‘To my young daughters and sons out there I say, don’t despise the days of humble beginnings and don’t allow anyone or society force you into a marriage you’re not ready for.
‘If you marry In haste you will repent at leisure.. As for me, I believe marriage rocks ..but get ready to work it.’

7 things to avoid on a first holiday as a couple according to a relationship expert

On your first couples holiday you'll likely see each other at your best and your worst.

Your first holiday as a couple can be an emotional rollercoaster.
The idea of spending an entire week with someone you are still getting to know is understandably overwhelming. Even so, it's a right of passage for every couple and something that can lay solid foundations for a long future together.
Relationship expert and behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings told Business Insider: "A first holiday together is a real indicator, not just of the level of commitment within a relationship, but also of what the future together might look like."
"You’ll notice aspects of each other that you might not have recognised before and you’ll see each other at your best and your worst."
Hemmings partnered up with Forest Holidays to share with us the seven things to avoid if you want a seamless and romantic first holiday as a couple.

1. City breaks.

Despite what you might think, city breaks can be more hassle than they're worth.
"There’s a certain amount of implicit pressure with a city break — after all, it would be a shame to go to a beautiful city and not pack in a fair amount of sightseeing," Hemmings said. "Simply being in a city, with all the noise and buzz can make it difficult to relax."
The pressure to cram everything in can mean that a couple doesn't spend as much time enjoying each other’s company as they might in a more relaxed, non-urban setting, she said.
Instead, Hemmings recommends opting for a UK-based outdoorsy holiday. "There will be far less of a pre-planned agenda or itinerary and more time to really connect with each other in a calmer, quieter and hopefully, stress-free environment."

2. Anywhere you've been with an ex.

It doesn't take a relationship expert to know that at the beginning of a romance anything ex-related is usually strictly off limits, and it's no different when it comes to holidays.
Try to choose a destination neither of you has been to before and definitely don’t choose somewhere you have been to with an ex. "This is bound to trigger memories and potentially arguments," she Hemmings said.
Instead, discover somewhere new together and create memories.

3. Awkward money situations.

Although it might not sound that romantic, Hemmings stressed that it's crucial to discuss budget ahead of your trip.
"Arguments over money are the last thing you want on your first holiday together. Approaches to spending are a common cause of rows among couples, and if one is a saver and one a spender, these attitudes can get magnified when on holiday, casting greater problems."
Taking the plunge and having that conversation could also lay solid foundations for the future.

4. Spending the trip glued to your phone.

Holidays are precious time together. If you have to use your phone, Hemmings suggests you set a pre-arranged hour when your partner won’t feel neglected, or, just decide together that checking emails and social media is off imits.
"Along with money issues, phone usage is one of the biggest reasons for holiday arguments," she said.
"It's always harder than it seems but it’s worth talking about your thoughts on phone usage on holiday before you go away as it can get in the way of intimacy."

5. Spending 24/7 with each other.

Contrary to what you might think, spending the entire trip gazing into each others' eyes is not advisable on your first couples holiday.
Hemmings said: "Even on a romantic getaway, you don’t need to be by each other’s side every minute of every day. You’re probably not used to being together 24/7, so giving each other a little personal space at times is a good idea."
A little me time could turn down the pressure a few notches.

6. Abandoning your partner.

Spending a little time alone can be healthy, but if you make new holiday friends don’t feel you have to do everything with them. It’s your romantic holiday and you need some quality alone time.

7. Being unrealistic.

Finally, harbouring unrealistic expectations for your first holiday as a couple is dangerous.
Holiday ads would have us all believe that every moment spent away together should be utter bliss, but in reality Hemmings says there's bound to be the odd niggle and that's all part of the experience.
"You might drink too much, get sunburnt, or a dodgy tummy. It happens to every couple, so don’t get too disappointed if it happens to you. Just move on from it and enjoy."
To help avoid these situations she suggests not being too regimented about your holiday schedule with constant activities as it will only add to the pressure, when what you really want to do is unwind and get to know each other better in a relaxed environment.
"Allow yourselves to be spontaneous, adventurous and improvise where necessary. And no morning alarms!"

pre-wedding photos: American couple recreate Barack and Michlle Obama's popular moments

Obama-inspired prewedding photos by this cleveland couple are supercool

American couple Cassi and Adam modeled their pre-wedding photos after Michelle and Barack Obama and the results are absolutely gorgeous.
The newly-engaged pair told Photographer Natasha Herbert and event planner, Covesa Gragg that they wanted their engagement photos styled after iconic photos of the former American FLOTUS and POTUS, and that was exactly what the photographer helped them achieve.
The photos show that couple got smashing reincarnations of some iconic romantic moments President Barack and First Lady Michelle
Obama had in the White House.
In an interview with Essence Magazine, Gragg says "When our bride and groom said, 'Can we try and duplicate one of their famous shots for our engagement pics?' I was like, 'Let's do an entire shoot – we can do this and this and this.”
Photographer Herbert shares the reminiscent snaps on Instagram on July 12 2017 and captions them:
“Because we miss them so much.... Our couple Cassi & Adam were channeling Michelle and Barack Obama in this engagement shoot.”
